070208 - San Diego - Todo a prueba| All in test mode

Las preparaciones siguen y las pruebas… muchas pruebas! Poco a poco he aprehendido que necesito, que no, que es básico y que es un lujo, a ser practico y a prepararme para desprenderme de mis cosas… por que no es mucho lo que uno puede llevar en una moto
.
Pero bueno, la moto ya esta lista, protecciones, herramientas, maletas, traje, guantes, botas y un casco por fin a mi medida. Si todo sale bien, en una, máximo dos semanas estaré emprendiendo rumbo al Este a comenzar mi faceta de aventurero.

He hecho un par de viajes a Los Angeles a visitar a mis amigos y a practicar un poco con todo el equipo a bordo. Esta semana regrese a San Diego y tome toda la vía de la costa (ruta recomendada – especialmente de Maniatan beach a Palos Verdes, de Huntinton beach a Laguna beach y de Oceanside a del Mar). Una ruta que normalmente toma dos horas y mediador la autopista a mi me tomo casi 6 horas (claro que perdí mas de media hora tratando de levantar la moto y echarla a andar después de que la deje caer – si estúpidamente – tratando de hacer una U en una falda bien empinada – hay vamos aprendiendo).

Tome mis primeras fotos para montar en la página y en este blog (mirar abajo) y grabe la ruta con el GPS para montarla igual en el mapa de la página. Todo pro fin funcionando como esperaba.. ahora finalizando detalles de la página Web para abrirla al mundo… es decir a usted!! Bueno, ahí nos vemos!

Preparation continue and testing… lost of testing! Little by little I have learned what I need, what I don’t, what is basic and what is luxury, to be practical and to prepare myself to get rid of my stuff… cause there’s no much you can take with you in a motorcycle.

But well, the bike is now ready: protections, tools, luggage, suit, globes, boots and finally a helmet that fits me right. If all goes well, in one, maximum two weeks I will be starting my trip heading East to begin my new life as and adventurer.

I have made a couple of trips to Los Angeles to visit my friends and practice a little with all the equipment on the bike. This week I came back to San Diego taken the Coastal Highway (recommended route – specially from Manhattan beach to Palos Verdes, Huntinton beach to Laguna beach and Oceanside to del Mar). A route that will normally take two and a half hours at highway speeds took me almost six hours (although I lost most that half an hour trying to pick up my bike and get it running after I drop it - very stupidly – trying to make a U turn in a very steep hill – learning experiences).

Took my first pictures for the website and this blog (take a look below) and I recorded the route using the GPS to also load to the map in the website. All finally working properly as I was hopping… now finalizing some details on the web page to open it to the world… that’s you guys!! Ok, see you around.
